Someone is Waiting For You at Home
November 20th is United Nation's Children's Day, held every year to celebrate children.
In the hustle and bustle of our daily routines, sometimes we tend to forget the needs of the young ones. Besides, food and shelter, every child also requires the attention and love of their parents. We have heard of the cliche, children are our future from time to time. In that sense, every child that is here now, might someday lead the nation, project what they see now onto the future. So teach them well. At the same time, we might learn a thing or two from them. Let their laughter remind us of our carefree days when we were children. The only worry that we had was.....what is mummy cooking for lunch or dinner today...., where are we going today and the very famous Are we there yet?
Learning is a life long process. Parents are the best guides for their children. They are a reflection of their parents. Have you sat with your child recently to help him or her with her science project or read a book to them? Well, if you haven't been involved in this aspect of bringing up your children, today could be a good start.
Spend quality time with your children. Join in their fun games or just observe them. Listen to the daily updates of their day. Hold on to their little hands because soon enough they will be all grown up and you would have missed on an important time in their lives. See through their innocence and learn from them too.
Happiness is waiting for us at home. Switch off your PCs and start spending more time with your little ones. Are you still reading this? Your child is waiting for you to brighten up their day today. Time to go home.
